Talentadong Pinoy

My family and I really like watching Talentadong Pinoy on Shake TV 5. I am really amused with the many talents showed there. Indeed, many Pinoys are talented, they just need an avenue in order to showcase their talents. Sometimes, though, people just force it just to get in the show, have a few minutes of fame, and go home with…P5,000??? or P10,000???

Anyway, the show is so good that many networks have come up with similar programming. But I guess nothing beats the original. I just wonder though why they are not so many advertising there. Don’t they have a good sales team? I believe so many people around the country are watching Talentadong Pinoy–advertising mileage is really great here.

But I do have one suggestion. A defending winner can defend his or her title for five consecutive weeks, then he or she will be elevated to the hall of fame. However, the road to the fifth week is a tricky one, because each week new numbers are being presented and it is difficult to top your previous performance and also beat other contenders. We have to consider here that the talents here are different from each other. This is not a mere dance or singing competition where the criteria for judging is the same.

So my suggestion is to give the grand winner on the fifth week something to really look forward to besides the fame. Weekly winners get P50,000. Why not give P100,000 to the talent who reaches and victoriously surpasses the fifth week. That should be a great incentive. If theĀ  show’s producers could not afford P1,000,000 per five weeks (which is not really often because the defending winner can get defeated anytime easily), the least they could do is double the weekly prize.

One talent that I find worthy was the Fire Dancers. They were here recently in Bacolod for a performance in Robinsons Place Bacolod, but sadly I missed it.

Kudos to Talentadong Pinoy. Keep up the good work Ryan Agoncillo. I also like the way Direk Audie Gemora and Tuesday Vargas on the talent scout panel. I also like to see Cheri Gil and Paolo Bediones there.
