I am currently watching the Live coverage of the wedding of the year “Korina Sanchez-Mar Roxas.”
Korina walked down the long aisle of the Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City wearing an elegant off-shoulder gown by Pepito Albert, sans veil, a modern-version of the Maria Clara, which hugs her curvaceous figure. Korina is radiant, with her hair coiffed, just like any other bride, she looks happy and dreamy, like a childhood dream coming true. Mid-way, Korina bowed down as she shed some tears.
I remember my own wedding. Despite my telling myself again and again that I will not cry, I could not help it. But it was during the exchange of vows that my tears finally gave way.
Anyway, I believe the guests at Korina’s wedding will just be sharing bread literally at the reception, as in bread, like pandesal, etc. The couple has donated their grand reception money to the victims of the typhoons. Nevertheless, a very nice church wedding happened.
With this kind of reception started by Korina and Mar, will the rest of the Filipino people follow in their footsteps? To have a party and only serve pan de sal, with the people happily partaking?
