The Value of Pocket Calendars

For as far as I can remember, I have a pocket calendar in my wallet. Pocket calendars are so handy as you can bring it anywhere and is practically weightless. As long as you keep a wallet, it stays with it.

I remember that in the past, I would have pocket calendars of politicians, Chow King, Prudential Guarantee, The Blade Spa, and Bench. I would really ask for them because aside from my wallet, one can find pocket calendars on my desk, my cork board and even my bag. This is because I want to be able to see a calendar whenever I need to know the date. I do not like looking around too much just to find the date that I need because I get dizzy.

Pocket calendars are just the right size. Too bad though that some people with eye problems do not appreciate these minute calendars because of the font size. But as long as your vision is okay, I believe many people like having pocket calendars, too. That is why companies still continue to have them printed and given out by December every year. Yup! It has to be during December so that people can use them by January, the start of the new year. And you have to be the one to give out so that you get to be the first one on the wallet. hehe

Anyway, I have three pocket calendars now and I love them all!

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage

Hey guys, I just want to let you know about this. I am giving this post to announce that at The Blade Salon and Spa at San Juan Street, Bacolod City, you can now avail of the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage.

Sounds interesting huh? But what is it really?

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage is the “technique focused on finding congested areas in the body and dispersing them, by moving the palms, thumbs, knuckles and forearms in rhythmic, dance-like motions. Setting the intention for healing, the Kahuna would also utilize prayer (pule), breath (ha) and energy (mana). The practice of lomilomi was common within each Hawaiian community and contributed to a vibrant, healthy society.” I got this information from lomilomi.com

Sounds very relaxing and therapeutic. I am yet to try it because I have yet to schedule a visit there. But with the seal of quality service that The Blade always renders, I am very sure that I will enjoy this service.blade cable ad lomilomi copy

Anyway, they also have a new service called a Facial with Breast Firming Massage.

Hand Spa at The Blade Spa

I was privileged to be treated to a relaxing hand spa at The Blade Salon & Spa along San Juan Street, Bacolod City. First I was seated in a comfortable chair then a pretty and pleasant attendant came along. First she scrubbed my hands with salt crystals applying pressure on the reflexology points of my hand. Oh, that was relaxing already, as my hands are so abused from too much work.

Next, my hand was soaked in a hand spa tub (shown on the photo). The warm was warm and mixed with a moisturizing liquid hand soap. But this is no ordinary soap. This is Step 2 of the Hand Spa routine products that they have. After five minutes, my hand was lifted from the frothy water and dried.

A massage cream (Step 3) was applied on my hands and was further massage. Several minutes later, my hand was rinsed in warm water. The final process (Step 4) was the application of a special hand lotion, which was still applied while my hand was massaged.

Then it was on to the other hand. After both hands were thoroughly treated, I was given a manicure. See my pretty hand above? Just one hand because I used the other to handle my camera. haha

Anyway, it was truly a relaxing treat for my sore and tired hands. For only P300, I got an hour of pampering for my precious little hands.
