Bangon Pilipinas Party

bangon pilipinas

I have not really strongly campaigned for political parties and candidates here in my blog. But now, I would really like to make a stand for Bangon Pilipinas under the leadership of Bro. Eddie Villanueva. I believe in him as a person of integrity and credibility. He believes in God, and as such, it follows that he also believes in love, peace and justice as well.

I believe him when he says there will be no corruption under his term. I believe in his convictions. And I believe that he can best run the country along with his team. I also believe that his wife will make for the best First Lady that this country has ever had. You have to remember, behind every great man is a great woman. The wife can greatly influence the President. She is the closest to the President, more than his advisers, so a good woman like Mrs. Villanueva is I think the best person to be with the President in Malacanang.

Bro. Eddie Villanueva for PRESIDENT of the Philippines. Make it President Eddie Villanueva.

I am for a NEW PHILIPPINES, A NEW PRESIDENT, A NEW GOVERNMENT, A NEW WAY OF LIFE. BANGON PILIPINAS!

OTHER QUOTES FROM FB:

“While the platform of Bangon Pilipinas is grounded on love for God and for country, it does not mean that accepting support from other religious groups is tantamount to compromise. Let’s remember that Bro. Eddie is running as PRESIDENT of this country, not as Pastor.”

Operation Living Ads is our way of raising awareness for Bro. Eddie, Jun Yasay and the BP Senatoriables. Since we do not have millions and billions to spend for advertisement, so we volunteers of Bro. Eddie who believes in the cause are the ones going out in the streets and making noise for genuine change!”

About Bro. Eddie from Facebook:

Brother Eddie C. Villanueva is one of the nation’s leading church leaders who has touched the lives of many Filipinos here and abroad as Spiritual Director and President of Jesus Is Lord (JIL) Church and Chairman of the nation-wide Philippines for Jesus Movement (PJM).

But Bro. Eddie is beyond his spiritual preoccupations. Apart from being a deeply spiritual man with strong moral convictions and high ethical principles, he is most of all a Filipino who loves his country and his people and a man who is committed to leading the transformation of the Philippines into a prosperous and respectable nation through the Bagong Pilipinas, Bagong Pilipino Movement which he also heads.

Bro. Eddie completed tertiary education at the Philippine College of Commerce (PCC), now PUP, where he was a student leader and consistent academic scholar. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in Economics and minor in Finance, in 1969. He was adjudged PCC’s “Best Debater of the Year” (SY 1967-1968).

Bro. Eddie was born on October 6, 1946 in Bocaue, Bulacan to parents Joaquin T. Villanueva and Maria Cruz Villanueva, both now deceased. The elder Villanueva was a former Olympic sprinter who represented the Philippines in the Far Eastern Games for four consecutive years in the 1920s.

He was immersed in both student and labor movements in the 1970’s. He joined the progressive segments of society which opposed military dictatorship. He fought local landgrabbers in Bulacan. He was jailed for his political beliefs and participation in various mass actions.

Bro. Eddie is married to Adoracion Jose Villanueva, who holds a Doctorate in Theology from Promise Christian University in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is currently Executive Director of Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide and President/Director of Jesus Is Lord Colleges Foundation, Inc.

Bro. Eddie’s national involvement extends also to the academe. He is the longest-sitting member of the Board of Regents of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). Previous to this appointment, he was a faculty member of the Department of Economics and Finance of the Philippine College of Commerce (now PUP) from 1969 to 1972. Therefore he knows the intricacies of the Philippine economy. He also knows the dynamicss of business and trade beyond his academic exposure. He himself also engaged in business. He was General Manager of Agape Trading Company in 1976-1977. He was also Export Manager of Maran Export Industries in 1973-1975.

My Kind of First Lady

A great part of the leader that we will vote is his or her spouse. Although we stick to one candidate, we sometimes do not consider their spouses and much less their family.

By this time, many of you know that I am for Bro. Eddie Villanueva for president, and I declare with my writing, 15th Philippine President Eddie Villanueva. Anyway, I want to share with you an interview that appeared in the lifestyle section of ABS-CBN News. It was an interview with Bro. Eddie’s wife, Rev. Adoracion Jose Villanueva, or Sister Dory.

The Lifestyle of Bro. Eddie’s Wife

The title did not even include her name? Why? Because she is not popular in the business, social, or fashion circles. She may be popular in their ministries, but she is a simple person. That is what I like about her. Now that I have know about the convictions of Mrs. Villanueva, I am more bent to see Bro. Eddie become our leader.

Sister Dory is a picture of both strength of character and humility as a wife. Oh, she seems to be the epitome of the wife of noble character that the bible portrays. I believe she is a very strong woman, as I have read some of her stories in the CSM devotional book, Women on the Journey. But she is also very humble and submissive to her husband, as evidenced by her struggles during the time that Bro. Eddie was an activist.

Mrs. Villanueva is the kind of woman that we need as First Lady–practical, humble, submissive, strong, simple, caring, and most of all, prayerful.

Bro. Eddie for President!!!!

Bro. Eddie Villanueva TV Commercial “Palit”

I really love the TV commercial of presidential aspirant, Bro. Eddie Villanueva. It is entitled, “Palit” and was directed by Director Paul Soriano for free, together with his father, Jeric Soriano.

It is so apt in such a time as this that no matter who we put in office, there is really no change. One is just worse than the other. We can remember how government officials lambasted Erap Estrada even to the point of attacking his personhood. Then who replaced him in his position and those assigned in other government sectors have proven to be worse than the past administration.

Oh well, what goes around comes around. But I believe that if we make and vote not for our own personal gain but rather for the good of this country, we will also be able to elect a good leader. Honestly, my personal choices are:

President: Bro. Eddie Villanueva
My second choice would be Senator Richard Gordon

Vice President would be Jejomar Binay

These people have political will and have worked and proven themselves worthy. They have made changes wherever they were planted. As for Sen. Mar Roxas, I dunno, he has marketed himself too much with the masa that honestly, I doubt his intentions. And really, I would not want Korina Sanchez to become first lady. Do you really want her in Malacanang? I am scared. And I believe this blog would be in great trouble if Korina was placed in Malacanang.

I would rather have a person who has moral values and upholds integrity. We want a government that upholds the people and their welfare and is not corrupt? Then we should vote for people with integrity. We should vote for people who fear God and not people. Because these are the kind of leaders that our country needs. Those who fear the Lord follow God’s commands, especially the commandment, “Thou shalt not steal.”
