The KC-Piolo Breakup

Piolo and KC

Here are some excerpts of the interview by Boy Abunda with KC Concepcion.

Concepcion said she came to a point when she felt that she has already given too much and she got tired of always trying to understand Pascual.
“Let’s just say na lahat talaga kaya ko… tinanggap ko ang anak niya. Kahit may mga times na hindi ko siya maintindihan, tinanggap ko kasi sinasabi sa akin ng mga kaibigan namin na personality niya yun,” she said.

Asked what was the reason for their break-up, Concepcion meaningfully said: “May mga hinahanap ako na napaka-basic lang na hanapin ng isang babae sa isang boyfriend, sa isang lalaki. Ayaw ko na siguro pumunta sa details kasi parang ayaw kong siraan siya.”

Asked what she thinks is her shortcoming in their relationship, Concepcion said: “Masakit mang sabihin, hindi ako yung…siguro nag-fail din ako, dahil hindi ako yung kailangan niya sa buhay niya or hindi ako yung hinahanap niya sa buhay niya. And hindi ko mabigay sa kanya yung kailangan niya.”

These words were delivered by a crying lady with swollen eyes on national TV. And the target of all these is ex-boyfriend Piolo Pascual who was in Japan at that time. When Piolo came home, his words were, “I apologize to the public for the break up and both of us are undergoing personal crisis,” (from push.com).

A lot of people are questioning Piolo’s past. But they forget that he is also a professed Christian. And all we heard so far is KC’s side. A crying girl does not mean that she is always right. She is emotional because she is hurt, but that does not mean that she is right. It is just too bad that while the rest of us can cry in our bedrooms or just bawl it out with our girlfriends, KC had to do it in front of the camera because she is a celebrity.

But let us remember that in every story, there are always many sides–the sides of those involved and the side of truth. Truth or fact are both different from perspective. And if you mix emotions with it, then you would really get a circus.

I don’t want to put Miss Concepcion in a bad light. All I am saying is that we give Piolo the benefit of the doubt. Let me put it this way. What if Piolo has already turned back from his past and is trying to live the way that his love for God and for KC dictates? Many people do that after accepting Jesus Christ in their lives.

It seems to me that KC is wanting sex (reading between the lines in her interview) and that Piolo “does not want” to give it to her. What if it is not the way it is? What if Piolo is reserving the sex part when they are already married? It could be that way, you know. KC said that she cannot give what Piolo wants. What if it is something else than what we are thinking?

I dunno the real story, but what I am saying is, let’s give Piolo some credit here. So many hurtful words have already been hurled at him. Some of them from Christians as well.

I remember the words of Barbie in the video, The Christmas Carol, where she said, “It is hard to judge when you don’t know the whole story.” We all were not there. We have not been with Piolo and KC. So let’s just stop with the hurtful words, the angry remarks, and the judgmental messages. I am sure that the real friends who know them have a better view of what is going on.

I am not a fan of both and I have been following this story on the side. But as a fellow believer, I kinda feel bad about the insults that Piolo is getting. A friend said, “Oh well, maybe KC is not God’s best for Piolo.” And guess what? It could really be that.

People may call Piolo gay and all, but the guy has kept his mouth shut. May his real friends stand by him because, honestly, that is the price that they all have to pay for being in the limelight.

This is just my opinion. You are entitled to you own. But this is really derogatory and well, it would just be good if we also put ourselves in their shoes.

To Write or Not to Write About Piolo and KC Breakup

It has been a few days since KC Concepcion appeared on TV, crying over her breakup with ex-boyfriend Piolo Pascual before host Boy Abunda. I have seen part of the interview and read some juicy parts from a transcript. I have also read many negative comments about Piolo in blogs and on Facebook, personally hitting him as a closet queen.

But I have not written about the issue and kept mum about it because I have different thoughts on the matter.

I just kinda feel bad for Piolo for getting all the flack while KC gets all the sympathy of Filipinos from all over the world. And I think I will have to write about what I think on the matter.

More later….

Lovers in Paris–Pinoy version

Whew! It has been 2 weeks since I have made my last post. I had been caught up in a whirlwind of projects that my mind was sore (if there ever is a condition). I opted to play computer games the last three days–just to empty my head–my NOTHING MODE.

Anyway, tonight is the start of Lovers In Paris–a Koreanovela shown on ABS-CBN, I think, a couple of years back. It was that time when we fell in love with the characters of Vivian, Carlo, and the ruggedly handsome Jerry. This time, ABS-CBN is doing a remake of the much loved show, but this time with Filipino actors and flavor. The 3 main characters are played by KC Concepcion, Piolo Pascual, and Zanjoe Marudo respectively.

I would just like to make a comment about the choice of KC as Vivian. Honestly, I don’t think KC can pull this off. I am not questioning her talent as an actress–it is just that it seems that Vivian’s character and KC’s persona do not really tick. It is kinda off. Was she cast just because she spent some years in Paris and Paris here in the Philippines (at least for the masses) is associated with KC?

In Piolo’s case, I think he is too young to be Carlo. I would have liked an older guy play the part. For now, Piolo does not look distinguished enough….for now. I emphasize that because he lacks the years. Period. For Zanjoe, well, he is okay for Jerry. Rugged, handsome, sexy (at least for many people’s perception, hehe sorry, I don’t share with the others).

Well, I have said my piece. Tonight, I guess I can spare some time to watch, at least the first episode and see if it is worth continuing to watch.
