I am a new mom with a 10-month-old baby. I am also in my mid 30s. It has been like 15 years since I have graduated from college with a four-year bachelor’s degree course.
I had been wanting to study some more, but not to gain any masteral or doctorate degrees. I just want to hone some skills, like creative writing, designing, or even culinary arts. The latter, I still continue to learn by studying online, like doing research online, as I don’t really have any intentions of opening a restaurant or making cooking a business. It is merely a hobby that I want to do for my appreciative family who likes good food.
Anyway, I have come across the idea of getting certified for a certain course online. However, I am not sure of these sites if they really offer real online degrees. I don’t want to be scammed. I have been scammed online many times before and in terms of education, I want to have good value for the money I will be paying them.
I like the thought of getting an online education because I am a stay-at-home mom so I like the flexibility of the hours. And most of all, I can do it in the comforts of my own home. I don’t have to go out and leave my child at the mercy of sometimes incompetent caregivers.
Right now, I am still figuring out what course to take, whether it be writing or designing. But maybe this year, I can get on with it.
