I wanted a nice, slow weekend because I wanted to rest. I had spent many late nights doing overtime work because I could not really concentrate with working while my darling daughter is awake. And of course, I try to spend as much time with her because time is flying (as in turbo speed) so fast that my she is turning terrific two years old in a few months (4 months to be exact).
But I still have many things to do, many pending projects. And I have to do them because I need money. I cannot complain because if I want to be able to pay our debts and still save up for another baby, I need to pool our resources and work hard and work smart. We have been doing belt-tightening measures and doing odd jobs just to make both ends meet. We are the usual case of the lower middle class family whose parents are struggling to make a better living for their families.
We are hoping for a better future for our family, one where we are compensated well for the work that we do.
Anyway, today, we are going to my parents’ home in Tangub. We will spend the day with them but my husband and I have to go back to our place by nighttime because I will be hosting a debut. I was booked only today so I was not expecting this. But then, we needed the money so we just had to make adjustments on our schedule in order to accommodate it.
Although we will have to spend much for the gasoline to and fro, I told my husband that nevertheless, I will still be earning some hundreds of pesos for a few hours of work. My husband encouraged me, too, so I will be hosting this debutante ball tonight.
Hopefully, we will not be as rushed next year and still earn so much more. I am praying for God to open Heaven’s doors and flood us with more financial blessings. Amen to that!
