Family Vacation

My husband and I had not traveled much since we got married. We did have a honeymoon, but it was not really a honeymoon package that we got but rather we took the time off to visit relatives. We had so much fun but there were no romantic, candlelit dinners and champagne. But it was fine.

Our second trip would be late this year to attend a wedding in another province. But this time, we have our 17-month-old daughter in tow. We are very excited for this trip as this would be our first ever family vacation outside of the city. Yeah, because we do have vacations but it is only to my parents’ house in the suburbs.

So anyway, I was browsing around for good deals on plane tickets but I reached a different site–that of caravan park. I looked into it and found that they have many exciting vacation possibilities. Too bad though that it is in UK, as we don’t have plans yet of going to another continent for a vacation. Maybe in the future. But not anywhere near.

I am really looking forward to this vacation–to have fun, to go around and most especially to reconnect with family and friends.

Travelling This Summer

I would really, really want to go somewhere this summer. Even if it is just 3 days or a week, as long as I get to go somewhere relaxing. Like a beach resort perhaps somewhere in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental? Or even Dumaguete. I would not want to go during the Holy Week though as I know the different resorts will be filled with people on a holiday. I want to be able to relax, not to rub shoulders with a crowd.

Anyway, I am looking at a travel directory that I got in Singapore several years back when I stayed there for some time. I really appreciate the fact that every nook and cranny of this small country is labeled and can be found in the map. It is so easy to go around there. Only a few hours after I set foot in this lovely country, I was already on my own, traveling by commuter train and bus, and just having a guide in one hand. Ahhh…this country is so literate.

Oh well, it has been some time since I have travelled. We are looking forward to go to Mindanao later this year. We really are praying that finances will be more than enough to finance this trip. I believe it would be fun to take my daughter by that time. I am already getting excited with this prospect!
