I have always been a fan of Filipino boxing sensation Manny Pacquaio. Who wouldn’t? He is like the modern-day hero of the Philippines.
Although I do not make bets, I have always rooted for him in all his fights, cheering him on while watching TV, and even praying for his success. Whatever his status or controversies are in the Philippines, he is still a Filipino and by winning, he is bringing fame not only for himself but also for the Philippines. And in so doing, he has inspired many young people who never had a direction in life to also pursue boxing and to aspire for greater heights.
On May 7, 2011, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will be up against another great boxer, “Sugar” Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Fortunately for Bob Arum, the Pacquaio vs. Mosley tickets are already sold out. So for those interested to watch the fight in real time, the next best thing is to get SHOWTIME pay per view. As for us, we content ourselves with the coverage of whatever local TV station so as not to spend money. After all, we will know who won after a couple of hours. And since we do not make bets, that is fine with us. As long as we know that Pacquiao wins the fight against Mosley, we are okay. haha I think that one TV network will be showing Pacquaio vs. Mosley live highlights so we will just watch that. I will just wait which network that will be.
They say that the Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao vs. “Sugar” Shane Mosley bout is the first big event of the year. It is also the first for Pacquiao and Mosley to be seen on Showtime. Well, this is a record break fight I believe and even coach Freddie Roach is confident that his charge will cream Mosley. Then let us you and I wait and see during the event. Meanwhile, let us remove those hot tub covers and relax. This is Manny’s fight and we would do well to sit back, wait, and pray for him.
