Our Car Molding

Is car molding” spelled as that or as “car moulding”? Which one is correct? Oh, whatever, I will use the first one.

Up until now, the driver’s side of our car has a car molding missing. Actually, last October (yeah, last year), we just hit in our subdivision. A friend of ours did not see us coming. And while there were no other cars in sight, we hit each other. It was my husband driving. The other driver did shoulder the repair of the damages. However, the mechanics were not able to restore everything completely up until now. We cannot really blame the mechanic, we have not really called them to follow up. So up until now, we can see a missing black stripe on the side of the car.

Our Hyundai Getz in bright corn yellow color had been with us three years now. We like it and we got it cheap. It has served us well. For now, it is our family car.

My parents are also considering getting a car. My brother will finance the car purchase for them. It will also be a second hand model, probably a used pick up truck or a Used Mercedes Tempe. Whatever that will be, they are looking forward to having a vehicle at their disposal this coming December. Well, hopefully, but I am not sure if it will really push through that soon. :-D

Having a Car

Having a car can entail some or even a lot of maintenance. Depending on how one drives and the terrains often traversed, the most common maintenance needs would be cleaning, changing of tires, and batteries. Cleaning the car inside and out are also a must. Then there is the tune up, change oil, and air conditioner cleaning. These are regular things. Do not mention the fuel, as that is standard operating procedure for every car. If you have a car and don’t want to spend on fuel, then better yet, sell your car. Then you will not have car insurance to take care of.

In one of our maintenance times, we went to Good Year Servitek just near our place. I noticed their dynamometer and never really got concerned about it. They have so many gadgets and equipment for testing, maintaining, and healing one’s car problems. I really like their service, too. I know the manager and his people are pretty good. We go to their shop regularly to maintain our car’s health.

Just recently, we noticed our car having problems starting. My husband has to hard start it every time. We had it checked by a mechanic and was told that he needed to have the batteries checked. True enough, our battery needs replacement. We are just thankful that the battery lasted us five years! So even if we don’t have a lot of spare because of my daughter’s frequent sickness lately, we got a battery. It was a good thing that my husband knew the owner so we got it on credit!
