Bangon Pilipinas Proclamation Rally

Bangon Pilipinas standard bearer Bro. Eddie Villanueva and his vice-presidentiable, former SEC Chair Perfecto Yasay, I think the perfect tandem to run the country’s affairs. Ok by now, you all probably get the point that I support Bro. Eddie. And for a good cause.

I really like the word play in the phrase “Eddie Ako.” It does not only promote Bro. Eddie’s name but it also promotes the empowerment of the Filipino individual. Indeed we clamor for change, but really, great change can happen if we all start the positive change in our personal level.

I am very hopeful that this election will bring greater good to our country. May God be gracious and give us leaders who will not just empower themselves and enrich their lives, but leaders who have compassion for the poor and fear of the Lord.

Mr. Yasay said that their religious beliefs will not get in the way of their running the affairs of the nation. I agree with him. We have to follow the law of the land because that the authority over us. However, because of the faith of Bro. Eddie and Mr. Yasay, their fear of the Lord will keep them from doing things that will dishonor the Lord. You know what I mean when I say these things.

Let us not just vote wisely. Let us pray and ask God who is the best candidate. May God help the Philippines.

Anyway, the proclamation rally of Bangon Pilipinas was swamped with supporters. This is a good sign already.

Bro. Eddie for President

My friend is an avid supporter of Bro. Eddie Villanueva and his cause to become president of this country. And yeah, I think that Bro. Eddie is the more deserving candidate. Many candidates who have become officials have all inundated their talents, skills, and experiences. But where did all these bring us? Our officials have all brought down our economy because of corruption.

Why not give a person who fears the Lord a chance to run the affairs of government? We can remember in biblical times that if the leader was not for God, the nation of Israel went into corrupt practices and they were always defeated by their enemies. But if they had a leader who loved God, they were victorious. Why not elect a leader who loves and fears the Lord?

I leave that to you to think about.

Bro. Eddie Villanueva TV Commercial “Palit”

I really love the TV commercial of presidential aspirant, Bro. Eddie Villanueva. It is entitled, “Palit” and was directed by Director Paul Soriano for free, together with his father, Jeric Soriano.

It is so apt in such a time as this that no matter who we put in office, there is really no change. One is just worse than the other. We can remember how government officials lambasted Erap Estrada even to the point of attacking his personhood. Then who replaced him in his position and those assigned in other government sectors have proven to be worse than the past administration.

Oh well, what goes around comes around. But I believe that if we make and vote not for our own personal gain but rather for the good of this country, we will also be able to elect a good leader. Honestly, my personal choices are:

President: Bro. Eddie Villanueva
My second choice would be Senator Richard Gordon

Vice President would be Jejomar Binay

These people have political will and have worked and proven themselves worthy. They have made changes wherever they were planted. As for Sen. Mar Roxas, I dunno, he has marketed himself too much with the masa that honestly, I doubt his intentions. And really, I would not want Korina Sanchez to become first lady. Do you really want her in Malacanang? I am scared. And I believe this blog would be in great trouble if Korina was placed in Malacanang.

I would rather have a person who has moral values and upholds integrity. We want a government that upholds the people and their welfare and is not corrupt? Then we should vote for people with integrity. We should vote for people who fear God and not people. Because these are the kind of leaders that our country needs. Those who fear the Lord follow God’s commands, especially the commandment, “Thou shalt not steal.”
