This afternoon, a couple of young moms and I decided to have the afternoon off to just chat and pray with each other. We went to Bob’s at SM City Bacolod. We are frequent customers of Bob’s in their different branches but this afternoon, we were sorely disappointed with the food.
I think my friend ordered clubhouse sandwich. She said that this order has become more expensive. It would have been okay if the serving was the same. But she said that the order did not come with chips, which was usually the case.
On my part, I ordered pancit luglug, a dish that I always order here. It now costs P80. It came in a very small oval dish and the noodles are bihon, not pancit. The order now is very small. My order looked like the pancit palabok of Quan, but Quan’s version had more meat and looked more delicious at only P50.
I believe that the only thing that Bob’s now has is its name. But the service and good food that Negrenses always enjoyed is no longer existent. It is just living under the name that is already fading in glory.
