Kanye West is a real sore loser. He hates MTV because he was nominated 5 times but an MTV award is just elusive for him.
Last year, he lost to Black Eyed Peas. This year, he lost to Taylor Swift. People say that it is because Kanye West is racist and hates Taylor Swift for being white and for winning.
But I doubt that racism is the issue here. Whoever wins, Kanye West is just that. He cannot accept defeat. So what if he loses all the time? He is an artist, isn’t he? So even if people or award-giving bodies do not appreciate his art, he should continue to do it because an artist finds delight in indulging in his art.
Obviously, Kanye West is there for the award. An award is the icing of the cake. But what if there is no icing? Would he really be angry and lose his cool and interrupt the acceptance speech of Taylor? He just showed the whole world what his real attitude and character is. He does not know how to accept defeat gracefully. And even if he is mourning his defeat, he should not let it out upon Taylor. After all, it was not Taylor’s fault. Maybe it was not just his time. But because of what he did, I believe he had ruined all his chances of winning in the future.
Too bad. Good taste and manners do not come with fame and wealth.
