Looking forward to Magkaribal

Magkaribal is the new teleserye in ABS-CBN Primetime Bida and it top bills Gretchen Baretto, Angel Aquino, Bea Alonzo, and Derek Ramsey. It seems very interesting.

The prima donna Gretchen seems to be very at home with her role, perhaps because she is reprising real life? hmmmm…By the way, if I may say, Gretchen looks like a caricature already. She has had so many facial enhancements to probably make her look young but honestly, she no longer looks like herself anymore. She looks like a humorous drawing of herself. In short, she looks fake.

Angel Aquino remains ever lovely, elegant and dazzling while Bea seems pretty good in a role na parang tara tara. haha I dunno how to describe it.

But I am really looking forward to watching it. Can Angelica Panganiban say the same as Gretchen is obviously flirting with her beau?

Gretchen Barretto and Angelica Panganiban

Angelica Panganiban was obviously hurt with Gretchen Barretto’s comment that hinted she was interested in the former’s lover, Derek Ramsey. Because of what Angelica said in an interview, Gretchen nonchalantly dismissed Angelica’s hurt demeanor and even sort of threatened that she is not afraid, blah blah.

Indeed money can’t buy good taste. No matter how Gretchen beautifies herself on the outside, her true colors are showing and these are disgusting. Her attitude is like that of a dog–bitchy. Hey, if you don’t know the meaning of a bitch, it’s female dog. And a bitch just goes with every male dog when she is in heat.

Anyway, Angelica and Derek are obviously in love. Gretchen should really butt out. If she wants controversy to drive attention to her new teleserye with Derek and Bea Alonzo, she should just make news elsewhere–not where other people get hurt. Gretchen must really think that she is untouchable, that she is beyond the other celebrities because her man (whom she is the kabit) is filthy rich. She just forgets that as long as Tony Boy Cojuangco is married and does not marry her, in the eyes of God, the people, and the law, she is still a kabit. Woe to her.

And I Love You So

As I watch ABS-CBN’s primetime shows, I get bombarded by the movie trailer of Star Cinema’s newest flick–And I Love You So. This romantic but sad story is directed by Laurenti Dyogi and is starred by TV’s sweetheart Bea Alonzo in her most daring role to date. She is paired with Sam Milby her lovelorn partner and Derek Ramsey, the deceased husband.

I am a melancholic person and very emotional, too, so from the start, I have already told my husband that I am not going to watch this movie (not that I am a fan of Pinoy movies–except John Lloyd’s and Sarah’s romantic comedy movies hehe). Anyway, I am already telling you dear readers, if you don’t want to cry and have a heart that would seem to burst from heartache then stay away from this movie. If you think you can hold your tears and come out of the moviehouse without a heavy heart, then this movie is for you.

I believe this movie was well done, especially that it is directed by Direk Lauren Dyogi. But man, because it is so nicely done, I am sure of the realistic portrayal and I sure am going to be affected by it. I don’t want to spend my money in a theater and end up crying instead of getting entertained.
