New Hair By Spa Natura Salon

I have new hair. It is a short cut. I am not sure if it is called a bob cut. Whatever it is, I like it. My new hair style is easy to manage, just wash and wear. For a mommy like me without a babysitter, this is the coolest thing in hairstyle. I will just upload my pic.

I am just thankful that I was able to get away for the evening as my husband volunteered to take care our baby while I was away. Thank you, darling. Hehe nag darling na. But we use “Baby” as endearment.

Anyway, I had my hair done by Mark at Spa Natura Bacolod. It is the newest and most modern spa by far here in the Bacolod City.  Here are a couple of photos of the Spa Natura Salon. That is Mark in action giving a haircut and then adjusting the steam for the hair spa. :-D

By the way, I had a haircut, then a shampoo, a brief head massage, and a blow dry. The stylist, Mark, suggested that I get a hair cellophane treatment next time. He thinks I would look good with mahogany colored hair treatment. I just might consider it. Maybe, I will have one next month, just before we leave for Cagayan de Oro City in order to attend our friend’s wedding. :-D It is the wedding of my husband’s bestfriend. My husband is best man while our baby is one of the flower girls. Hmmm…I think this time, my husband is getting a haircut already. hehe

You know what? I felt energized after the haircut. I only took the jeepney going to and fro the salon as my husband had to take care of our baby. But I felt good afterwards. Imagine what a haircut or a visit to the salon can do. Although it costs money, sometimes, its effect far outweighs the cost. I mean for a single hair, which by the way costs P250, I felt rejuvenated. Truly at Spa Natura, you can relax and rejuvenate. That is their slogan.

Getting a Manicure and Pedicure in Bacolod City

Normally, I do my own manicure and pedicure. I am one of those people who is blessed enough to apply her own nail paints effortlessly. My problem actually is the cleaning. I don’t like the cleaning part, because it is messy, tedious and time consuming. I especially feel body cramps when I do my toe nails. But I do this to save some bucks and still get those nice shiny nails each week. But when I don’t want to do my nails, or when I am to attend a special occasion and don’t have much time, I go to Indulgence Salon on Lacson Street–a very convenient location with parking space. I like the two attendants there–they really clean my nails meticulously and they shape my nails very nicely. The price is affordable too, just P60 for the manicure and another P60 for the pedicure. Then I would usually give a tip of P20 for the attendant. All in all, I would spend P140 for my nails, which is roughly $3.50. Not bad, if I may say. I also like the ambiance. The place is soooo quiet. And I like some small talk, but I don’t want the sound to interfere with my thoughts. So I like it there. The attendants are not very talkative, which allows me to contemplate while getting a manicure. Another place that I visit is the Carlo Reyes Salon, a local franchise. I just like it because it is near my home and I don’t have to drive far to visit it. And there’s a lady there whose services I frequent. I am pretty satisfied with their services, too, because of their add-ons. After the cleaning, they apply lotion on the hands and feet and massage the parts that ache most. Wow! I feel good after their service. When I go out, I feel light because I am relaxed. Their prices are the same with Indulgence. I think that these two are the best nail and pedicure salons in our city.

Indulgence Salon is located at 1st and Lacson streets in Bacolod City, while Carlo Reyes Salon is along Hilado Street in Bacolod City. Both salons open at 9 a.m. and close at 7 p.m., unless there are still customers having their services done. At Indulgence, having a hot oil treatment is sometimes packaged with having a manicure and pedicure, and one can get a 25 percent discount (P300 or $7.50). Other hair service packages are also available. At Carlo Reyes Salon, a foot spa is usually paired with pedicure (P290 or $7), which means that the pedicure is already free. Indulgence and Carlo Reyes Salons have pretty much the same caliber in service and personnel, and the prices, too, are similar. Hot oil-P250, body massage -P300, Hair Spa – from P250, Hair rebond – from P1,500, Hair relax – from P300.
