Biker Groups

Biking is such an enjoyable sport, or if not, a physical activity. There are so many benefits to biking. If one alone it gives the body a great exercise, especially if done outdoors and on uneven terrain with elevation.

If undertaken with friends, it not only keeps the body in shape, it also feeds the soul and spirit. Plus, outdoor biking promises to become a great adventure, offering visual treats and exhilarating adventures of the countryside.

When driving to the countryside, I really like looking at groups of bikers trailing. Some are one after the other, some are riding by pairs, while some are in a bunch. This is especially true if we go to Mambukal Resort, as many bikers like going there and back to Bacolod.

Because of their togetherness, many bikers of the opposite genders do eventually find their friendships develop and a lot of them get into a relationship and eventually marriages. That is why I am not surprised that there is a biker personals sites that is designed for bikers to meet and socialize. Through the site they can even find dates in their locality. This site is specifically for bikers who would love to meet people who have the same interest as them. I think this is pretty cool.

MassKara Festival 2009–Bacolod City

This year had been a roller coaster ride for my husband and I because the last trimester of my pregnancy was the first quarter of 2009 and since I gave birth two weeks early in March, life had never been the same for us. Honestly, time flies so fast when you are very busy. And it seems only like yesterday when I had gone through terrible labor pains prior to my very painful C-Section delivery. But now, we are already anticipating the 6th month of our baby this coming September 11.

And what comes after September? For the people of Bacolod City, it is MassKara Festival 2009! I have not been going out much during the festival these past years, but hopefully, I can go around this year and enjoy the festivities.

The first ever Negros Bloggers Meet-Up was successfully held last July 4, 2009 at the Lobby Lounge of PAGCOR Casino Bacolod, Goldenfields Commercial Complex, Bacolod City. It was sponsored of course by PAGCOR and DigitalFilipino.com.

We had interesting night of networking, great food, live music, and some booze. We were able to meet up with people whom we just otherwise know as personalities on blogs or merely usernames. It was nice to finally connect blogs to a face and to a person. :-)

We also got freebies from Pagcor as well as gift certificates. My sister in law Maricar played the table for all of us and she won P2,000. Beginner’s luck? Her only regret was we could not take pictures inside the gaming area, as she wanted a memento of her first casino visit. lol

Anyway, this is just the first event. Many more will be coming. So I encourage my blogger visitors here from all over the Negros Island to show yourselves up and be known. Visit our official site, which is still under construction, at negrosbloggers.com. We need to get started, we need to be united. Let us actively pursue our cause as bloggers. Bug-at no? haha Well, at least if we are united, we will have more activities. After all, these will be for our benefit. Fear not fellow Negros bloggers! :D

P.S. Sorry for the delay in uploading the photos, guys. I am probably the last one to do so. After the event, we had a long weekend at my parents where there was no internet connection. When we went back, I got swamped with work as I realized that the 40 Days of Grace event for our church is fast approaching and I still have to edit and layout the devotional book that comes with it. Hope my apologies are accepted.
