Who Else? Eddie Tayo.

Presidential aspirants have their own gimmicks, packaging, marketing strategies to get the people’s attention. One effective campaign is that of Bro. Eddie Villanueva. I have always liked Bro. Eddie and his integrity.

Anyway, he is pushing that for the country to change, each of us should do his share. Sino pa ba….? Eh di tayo. But they effectively changed that phrase to become Bro. Eddie’s catch phrase, Eddie Tayo! I love it.

I still hope and pray that Bro. Eddie wins. It is time for someone like Bro. Eddie to be given the chance to run this nation. God bless the Philippines!

Manny Villar Infomercials

Manny Villar has been the most aggressive presidential candidate in terms of advertising and marketing. I believe he has hired a team of brilliant marketers, publicists and advertisers.

His TV ads are tasteful and my goodness! They are working. I believe many of us in the house, especially the kids, can memorize his jingle. Even my 10-month-old baby gets mesmerized whenever she sees those kids singing on TV.

The placements are also all over the day so that all viewer segments are reached. Imagine the money that is being poured out to the TV stations. It should be in the hundreds of millions already. And it is still 5 months to go till election time. (Villar is a businessman, somehow there will be a return of investment.)

Whatever they are doing, it is definitely working in terms of what they call brand recall in marketing. Whether or not he is fit to be the next President of the Philippines (I want to make it clear that I am not making endorsements here), his marketing strategies are hard sell and working. This should give other candidates a clear clue on what to do. But sadly, not every candidate, even if he is fit, has the financial capacity that Villar has.

Si Villar ang tunay na mahirap. Si Villar ang may tunay na may malasakit….

Martial Law in Maguidanao Declared

This is a breaking news. Martial law has already been declared in Maguindanao following the brutal massacre of 57 people. The primary suspects are the political clan of the Ampatuans.

It was reported that the martial law will only last for 60 days, or probably until the perpetrators are all captured and brought in for justice.

My only fear is that, with the elections coming, will there be any more atrocities that will lead to the declaration of martial law nationwide?

Will the Marcos regime be relived?
