Kristin Kreuk to Star in Beauty and the Beast

Kristin Kreuk

Kristin Kreuk will star in "Beauty and the Beast" --a new series on CW.

Beauty and the Beast will be the crime-drama series to watch out for on CW. And guess who will play the “Beauty”? The natural beauty Kristin Kreuk of the Smallville fame.

The show is not a remake of the well-loved Disney film but rather a remake of a TV series in the 80s.

This petite stunner is done with her small town girl image in Smallville as she essays the role of “Catherine”–a homicide detective in New York City. She is trying to cope with her mother’s death while dealing with her emotions regarding the murder. Then she finds the character of Vincent Koslow, who is the “Beast” in the show.

Well, we will just have to wait for the rest of the actors who will join Kristin in the pilot episode. Will the beast also smoke al capone cigars? Oh well. We will know haha I am just excited to see Kristin again on the small screen.

Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson Went Down the Same Road

It is really sad that the two of the most revered music icons–Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson–both died with something related to drugs, prescription and otherwise.

Both left this world just as they were attempting a comeback in their careers. But both failed and their deaths shocked the world. And in their demise, people from all walks of life all over the world mourned their deaths and played their music over and over again.

It is just so sad how these two artists have gone down the same road. When Michael died two years ago, Oprah interviewed Whitney and the singer confessed that she is scared that what happened to Michael could also happen to her. And it did.

While people close to Whitney were kinda feeling that something is already awfully wrong about the singer, they were still shocked at her death.

Sigh…if only these celebs have some mentoring or spiritual guidance, things would be so much different. Such a loss…
