Another sad story is the apparent depression of Alexa Ray Joel. For those of you who don’t know her, she is a new singer trying to make it big in the big time. But honestly, she doesn’t have to. She is the daughter of Billy Joel and supermodel mom Christie Brinkley. Anyway, Alexa was hospitalized because she reportedly took an overdose of Traumeel pills, a homeopathic medication. This act was supposedly to bring back her lost love, Jimmy Riot. Apparently, the ploy did not work and rather backfired on Alexa. When things like these happen, one gets to think about families getting broken. Because families get broken, the lives of children are severely affected and they carry it to adulthood. That is why I really hope that Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren really do make up.
Anyway, the pretty lassie turned vamp is back. Here is Lindsay Lohan and her photo shoot with Muse Magazine. Just last night, I watched a re-run of Herbie: Fully Loaded. LiLo still looked so sweet. I also still vividly remember her stint as a twin in Parent Trap. What happened to her? To the sweet little girl. Sigh…what misguided fame can do to a person. Anyway, Lindsay is featured in Muse Magazine, and for me, the photos are hardly amusing. Honestly, they don’t look artistic at all. But it just shows how Lindsay is now as a person. Now the good news, lest you think that I only bring depressing news. American Idol and Christian singer Carrie Underwood had a Christmas TV Special entitled An All-Start Holiday Special. But it is not the run of the mill holiday presentation complete with Santa Claus and faux snow. It was a little of everything. And she had guests like Dolly Parton, David Cook, Chenoweth and Christine Applegate. So many people loved it, even critics. She is making waves. Way to go, girl!
I really feel sorry for what happened to Alexa, she could have been a big hit in the music scene. This kind of sad event should be a reminder to all people taking up sleeping pills to take their medication in moderation. It’s a basic principle that too much of something good can turn out really bad.
