Manila Bulletin Typo: President Arroyo’s Funeral

manila_bulletin_GMA_is_dead-copy

I got this picture from my e-mail that says it was Manila Bulletin’s typographical error. I am not sure if it is true, but honestly, when I first said uttered the words, “The coffin of…” what came to mind first was President Arroyo. I dunno if my hubby noticed what I said. Maybe it is just because our minds and mouths are used to saying her name, as she is the current president? Or is that a secret wish of the people that was just echoed by whoever was doing the captioning at Manila Bulletin?

But well, it also said that the coffin was carefully moved. Someone from the forums then said, “In her dreams.” I really wonder, if President Arroyo died, how would her funeral be? Would everyone be paid to pretend that they are mourning? That would certainly drain the country’s coffers. Ooopppss.

Anyway, patay kang bata ka. It will take more than a public apology to retract a faux pas like that. More bribe, anyone?
