Family Access Card

With the rice crisis in the Philippines (or it is what the government wants the people to believe) the government has devised a way to distribute low quality and lower priced NFA rice to people who total family income is below P5,000 a month.

It is called the Family Access Card. This will ensure people will get their fair share of NFA rice and not hoard rice, because they say we have a shortage.

I just ask, what has the country gotten into? People now have to have these access cards just to buy rice? Where is the dignity of the Filipino in that?

I have asked some dealers and farmers, and they say there really is no shortage. Some people believe that the rice shortage was a hyped up problem to cover up the controversies that the presidential family is in.

How can they ever sleep at night?
