Efren Penaflorida: CNN Hero of the Year

Ahh…now that is another Filipino who has made the Philippines and the entire Filipino nation proud. Efren Penaflorida was hailed as the CNN Hero of the Year. Aside from the $20,000 cash prize that he got being a semi-finalist, Efren will receive another $100,000 for the major prize.
Efren is from Cavite. He has given his life for the cause of educating the poor children through his “kariton classroom.”
Congratulations Efren! You deserve this. May many more people be helped by your good deeds. I am so happy to have voted for you.

Manny and Efren’s victories were glorious but it was short-lived because it has been overshadowed with the Maguindanao Massacre. So sad.
