There’s much hype about the Christmas lights display at the Bacolod Capitol Lagoon which only opened last December 15. So I excitedly checked out the place. It was pretty lame though. There were only 4 lighted lanters and yes, the usual giant Christmas tree and nativity scene. Nothing really spectacular.
But well, I changed my perspective and instead relished the scenes like a child. I took pictures of the lanters and they looked lovely on my cellphone screen. I roam around the park and enjoyed the cool air until my hubby arrived. Then together we roamed around again and took pictures and such. It was a lovely night.
Despite the materialism of Christmas, we cannot deny that the air is really festive and the spirits of people are lighter. Even if we don’t have much, we can always find reason to celebrate–just like what I did last night.
Happy Holidays!
