Bobby Brown Not Treated Well at Funeral of Whitney Houston

Singer Bobby Brown went to pay his last respects to his wife’s funeral but he was not treated well there.

It can be remembered that a lot of people are blaming Bobby for getting his superstar wife, Whitney Houston, hooked on illegal drugs. They were divorced a few years ago but the two claimed that they still loved each other.

A well-loved singer by people all over the world, Whitney died so suddenly and a lot of people are speculating that it is just the result of a long time of being a drug addict. And they say that Brown was to blame.

Houston’s final rites were held at Newark’s New Hope Baptist Church last Saturday. Brown was allowed to go in but stayed for only 15 minutes.

Here is Brown’s explanation:

“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events. This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.”

What I don’t understand is, you get invited to a funeral? Whoa! Here in the Philippines, it is just so much different. I guess it is a cultural thing. Oh well.

It is just sad though why the lives of these superstars ended like this.

Many people are giving tribute to Whitney Houston all over the world and rock star Chris Cornell is one of them. Check out the Chris Cornell video here.

  1. A lot of people blame him for Whitney’s addiction. Maybe he was just being paranoid when he thought that he was not being treated well.
