We have a new president!

Officially, we now have a new chief executive–PRESIDENT BENIGNO SIMEON “NOYNOY” AQUINO!

After his oath-taking this morning, President Noy has been catapulted from being an obscure senator living under the light of the glory of his parents to being technically, the most powerful person in the country. So many hopes are being pinned on him, but in his inaugural address, President Noy said that although he has many programs to uplift lives of Filipinos, everyone must make a contribution for the improvement of the nation.

And that is true. Pinning our hopes on a single person is making him God. And only God can deliver us really. The leader is only a instrument. I can only pray for a better Philippines and a better tomorrow for us all.

Congratulations to our new President. We will pray for you and your administration.

In another light, it is really obvious that there was one member of the family who was absent during the inaguration–James Yap, the husband of President Noy’s famous celebrity sister–Kris Aquino. It was reported days before the inauguration that Kris their home with her two kids. This is probably the biggest fight that they have because not even her brother’s oathtaking could dissuade Kris from leaving James. Too bad. I hope they will be able to reconcile. However, James was not able to take part in a very historical moment for their family yesterday.

New Office Equipment

Two months ago, we bought printer for vinyl stickers that can print up to 4 feet in width. It was a pretty big investment but I think it was worth it. We are just working hard to recoup the investments as soon as possible because it was quite expensive.

Aside from being able to print on vinyl stickers, it can also die cut vinyl stickers and print on tarpaulin and also vinyl magnet. I think it is a great machine. My husband is the one who operates it and does some of the logo designs while I do the designs for events tarpaulin. I also do marketing.

We are thinking of buying another equipment, a colored laser printer that can also do document scanning as well as photocopying. It should be a three-in-one printer. We are still canvassing for the best prices and asking around for the good quality brands. It is best to ask around because like with our Compaq laptop, this was the worst buy that we got and we said never again to Compaq or HP for that matter. Next time, we will surely get another Asus laptop and we will pray hard that the unit that will get to us will be a good one.

But the new laptop will not come until late next year maybe. We are still paying for our car, so we are just hoping that the old one will hold up until that time because I need it for my daughter to watch videos so that she will allow me to work. hehe

So far so good.

Remember Erin Brockovich?

I so loved the movie Erin Brockovich with the title role played by Julia Roberts. I think that the character is cool but feisty, a fighter, and a great mom.

But thanks to her and her resourcefulness, the people of a certain place earned their rightful benefits after a prolonged legal battle. Although she was not educated as a lawyer, her persistence and resourcefulness paid off.

I think that when there are really tough legal problems, especially those that involve the medical field, it is best to hire only those attorneys who have had enough experience in the field. One such group of lawyers are from Medical Malpractice Attorney Seattle. They have been handling cases pertaining to malpractices that they are well aware of the ins and outs of the systems. They can cover doctors, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, and I believe, HMOs.

In order to get the best representation, I think that the specialists should be sought.
