Blogging at SM

I am now blogging using my Nokia E63 through the free wifi connection at SM City Bacolod. More details later.

The launching of the FREE WiFi connection at the SM City Bacolod was held yesterday, July 31, 2009. It was attended by members of the Negros Bloggers and other interested parties. There were glitches though and we were not able to fully appreciate the live streaming. Although the program was supposed to start at 1pm, we were delayed because the connection had not be installed yet. But eventually it did and the program started. Negros Bloggers President Ruby Ricafrente of Pinay Mommy Online gave a short talk on blogging.Because we were among the first 20 to attend, my hubby and I got face towels from Nokia. Here’s a pic.

Madonna’s Biceps

Madonna was recently seen with biceps that look like branches of an ageing tree. They say that there is no problem about it, because her body fat is minimal and she is doing a lot of weight training. But my goodness! Does she really think that she is pretty because of that? I don’t know what she is trying to achieve with her work out, but that is not my cup of tea. And since it is not only me who is alarmed by her looks, then maybe there is something wrong with her? What is good though is that her face is not affected, otherwise, she would look horrible, like a horrifying tree in one of those enchanted fairy tale movies. When will celebrities learn?

Anyway, they say that the photo is retouched, and which I hope so, because otherwise, she might end up like Michael Jackson soon.

WiFi Launching at SM City Bacolod

I am giving way to the Press Release from SM by Lorena Martinezsm-wifi.

The grand launch of FREE WiFi will be held on July 31, 2009 from 1-4PM at the Northwing Event Centre of SM City Bacolod. All SM shoppers may avail of the free WiFi connection in all areas of the mall without password requirement.

The Negros Bloggers Guild has been invited for a meet-up during this event. Leaders are Ruby Ricafrente, Edson Azuelo, Maricar Dabao, Sigrid Lo, Dennis Lo and Maricar Lo. All bloggers are invited to come and get connected with the rest of your virtual fellows.

Masscom students of the University of St. LaSalle are also encouraged to come as there will be an internet and wifi tutorial for senior citizens. Our lolos and lolas have either children and granchildren abroad thus it is important that they know how to operate the computer/laptop and get connected to the internet as it’s the number form of communication today.

There will be a Best Blog Contest. Bloggers may post about their best experience and memory of SM City Bacolod and link it to www.smcitybacolod.blogspot.com. Details of the mechanics will be announced during the launch.
