Flowers by the Wayside on FeedBurner

As many of you know, I have an alternate blog called Flowersbythewayside, a collection of lessons that I have picked along the wayside of life. Anyway, finally I managed to get FeedBurner in my site and you can now subscribe to feeds of my blog update–whenever it is updated. I have new stories there.

Piolo Pascual and his Speed Commercial

I saw Piolo Pascual on ASAP last Sunday in their Hafa Adai Guam episode. He had a duet with Angel Locsin (I forgot the title of the song). While he was trying to match Angel’s quality of voice, Piolo’s singing deteriorated much. He was what we Ilonggos would call “agi-agi” or “gayish…” Anyway, he redeemed himself when he sang another song later in the show in his normal voice, which is pretty good.

But then again, I saw Piolo in a Speed laundry detergent commercial, where he was singing a cheeky jingle. My goodness! What next? Will he be featured doing the laundry himself?

Piolo is one of the hottest and certified dream boy in this country (at least for most women), he really has to be careful with the roles that he chooses. He has to guard his image, because in showbusiness, image is everything. I mean, I know Joey did another laundry soap commercial, but it was comedic, and we all know Joey de Leon for his satirical portrayals. Not Piolo. Not the ultimate dreamboat of the Philippines.

Oh please, Piolo, be careful….People’s tongues are already wagging because of your speculated sexual preference, please be more careful next time.

Doug and Cheska Kramer

Celebrity couple Doug and Cheska Kramer finally tied the knot last October 9, 2008, 5 years after they first became boyfriend and girlfriend.

They are a very handsome couple because both are physically attractive. But aside from that, I think what makes them more beautiful together is that the two of them have put God in the center of their relationship. So I think they will really be blessed. It is obvious that the of them are so much in love, and even after five years of being together, they look pretty much like the lovestruck couple when they started (I saw them on TV during their early years).

They had a very lovely wedding, and Cheska was radiant and in her beige modern gown. Doug wore a beige suit as well. I think the occasion was very lovely, not really because of the grandiosity of the moment, but because their loved ones and friends were all there to support them. And unlike the Ruffa-Yilmaz wedding then, there seems to be no pretense here–just two people very much in love and who love the Lord and surrounded by people who love them.

Congratulations, Doug and Cheska! :-)
